To enhance our 5th graders' learning on government standards, we partnered with LawforKids.org. Our 5th graders led the voting experience for their peers, and every student who cast their vote received an "I Voted Today" sticker.

Staff Training
*Two-hour training focused on emergency preparedness
*Lockdown procedures
*Intervention methods
*Situational awareness and Violence prevention
School Drills
*Evacuation, lockdown, and shelter drills in accordance with state statute
*Teachers will brief students using age-appropriate language in emergency situations
*Parents will be notified of lockdown drills


DSES Families: All students and their families are invited to join us for our upcoming Mathoween event on Friday October 25th from 4-6 p.m.


DSES students are all welcome to share one of their favorite book, by dressing up as thier favorite character and bringing the book along with them. Then we will have a literacy parade! All on Thursday, Octobr 31.


DSES families: All students are invited to participate in our Bullying Prevention Spirit Week all next week! Tues (22) - Western Day, Wed (23) - Hawaiian Day, Thur (24 - Orange Unity Day,
Fri (25) - Marvel Character Day.
